Little Swans provides pre-school care and education for children aged from 2 to 5 years of age. We aim to provide the best possible pre-school education for your child based on a “Learning Through Play” curriculum in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.
Our experienced, qualified staff can help your child to develop to their full potential – emotionally, socially and intellectually.
Little Swans is inspected and approved by Ofsted Early Years and we are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. We are registered to provide care for up to 26 children each day.
Little Swans has a voluntary committee of Directors who work alongside our staff to keep up to date with changes in pre-school education. The Directors are all local people with either children at Little Swans and/or with specific skills and knowledge that benefit us.

A Brief History
Since the late 1970s Swanton Morley has had a village playgroup. In 1996 Swanton Morley Playgroup joined forces with the village Pram and Toddler Group. This move expanded the committee and combined resources. With the combination of the two groups the name was changed to Swanton Morley Under Fives Group.
In November 2009 the Directors decided it was time to re-brand the group and call it Little Swans. Following consultation with Parents and statutory bodies, the name was adopted in March 2010.
Sending Your Child to Little Swans
Little Swans is open every weekday morning during term time from 9am until 12 noon. We welcome visits by prospective parents and their children by prior arrangement.
